For the benefit of all our guests and for the site, we have just 10 rules which we ask everyone to observe:
Guest Check In & Check Out - Check in is from 2pm. All campsite arrivals must be before 9pm (unless arranged in advance) to avoid disturbance to other guests. Checkout is from noon on the day of your departure.
Parking - All vehicles must be parked in the parking area. Please car share wherever possible. Please note the site is free of cars and cars are not allowed in the meadows. There are a number of wheelbarrows in the car park to take your luggage to the pitches. Please return the wheelbarrows back to the car park when you have finished unloading. Please note 1 car per pitch is included with your booking. Additional car’s are charged at £5 if parked onsite.
Fire Precautions - Please make your group aware of fire notices and the location of fire extinguishers etc. The assembly point is in the courtyard.
Noise and Disturbance - Bert's is an eco-camp and disturbance of nature and other guests should be kept to a minimum please, particularly after 10pm. No amplified music is permitted on the campsite. We reserve the right to cancel the remaining booking of any guests or groups who cause complaints from other guests. No group bookings allowed on site. Max number of pitches per booking is 2.
Dogs - Dogs are welcome on the campsite, but must be kept under control and on a lead at all times on the site. We reserve the right to cancel the remainder of any guest's booking whose dogs persistently cause a disturbance or are the subject of complaints from other guests. For the wellbeing of other visitors, dog owners must clear up after their dogs (this doesn’t mean leaving poo bags hanging from the hedges; please use the bins!)
Rubbish and recycling - Recycling facilities are provided throughout the site, please recycle everything possible. Guide notes are provided for which type of waste go in each bin. We ask all our guests to do their best to limit their plastic waste and leave bulky packaging at home.
Fires & BBQs - Disposable BBQs are not allowed (they scorch the ground and create a lot of non-recyclable waste).
Firewood and charcoal - Please don’t gather fire wood from around the site. Fallen wood provides a natural habitat and damp or rotting smokes too much when it burns.
Cleaning - Please leave your pitch and all facilities clean & tidy, or additional charges may be incurred. When it's time to go home, please leave no trace of your stay in the camping fields, so that other people and wildlife can continue to enjoy this unspoilt site
Smoking - No smoking is allowed on site or in the meadow.
Please contact us if you have any other questions.
